Hi.
Good afternoon,
A couple of years ago, I acquired an RS4D (Shake 4D;AM.R9004), and it was connected and functioning well in my house for a long time. A few months ago, due to some changes in my home, I had to disconnect it, and it seems it was never able to reconnect to the server properly. Now, I am trying to connect it again, but it shows as “disconnected,” and I cannot see it on the map. All the LEDs are working correctly (red, blue, green, and orange). I am not sure what I might be doing wrong.
And I can´t remember my old password to apply changes on device-settings.
Thanks,
Gina

Hello Gina, and welcome to the community!
Could I please ask you to download the logs from the Shake (instructions can be found here, if needed: Please read before posting! ) and post them in your reply?
They will help us look a bit deeper into what could be causing your issue.
Thank you!
Hi, Stormchaser.
Of course.
Here are the log files.

From them, I can see that (probably due to your previous network setup) both LAN and WiFi have been enabled on this Shake. We usually don’t recommend this, but without a password you’ll not be able to modify this setting.
As there are a couple of things I would like to focus on, can I ask you to:
- turn off your Shake
- disconnect all cables from it
- restart your router and wait for it to regain internet connection
- now reconnect LAN and power cable to the Shake in this order
- turn on the Shake again
Then, wait until tomorrow morning and, when you can, download the new logs and send them to me.
I would like to see if there are any differences compared with the current log set, and also what the logs show after a full, fresh, restar with the Shake running for a longer time.
Thank you.
Hi.
I cannot turn on/off the device because I don´t have the password. How can I recover that password?
Today I changed a password succesfully to get into this forum (I am not sure if there are two different passwords, one for this forum and another one for the decive), but with that password I cannot turn off/on the device.

Hello,
It’s possible that the two passwords are different, yes.
As your situation is, the only way to shut it down is to directly “pull the plug”. It’s not something that we recommend, but as we are in a “last resort” situation, it’s the only way to do so.
There are two methods to regain access to the Shake when we don’t remember the password we have set:
- Follow the procedure written here: Ready, Set, Get Hacked! Security and Raspberry Shake. Or,
- Re-burn the microSD card with a new OS installation: microSD card topics.
The less complex one is the second, which will give you a “fresh start” and reset all password/settings to factory values. You can then reconfigure it as you need for your location (and, probably, the Shake would connect to our servers again).
