Boom not connecting to server

Hi

My Boom has stopped recording to your server.

I have rebooted a few times but cannot see it in the app.

Browsing to the local IP shows it’s status as running but it is not connecting to the server.

Please advise on my next steps.

Hello Jeffi, and welcome back to the community.

Could I please ask you to download the logs from the Shake (instructions can be found here, if needed: Please read before posting!) and post them in your reply?

They will help us understand what is possibly causing your Boom to not connect to our servers.

Thank you!

Hi Giuseppe

All the links to the logs, Swarm and Data just hung.

I think the issue was a corrupt config in my Orbi mesh system. A reboot didn’t resolve it but a factory reset and restore from a backup config seems to have fixed this issue and my Boom is now connecting to your server and I can see it in the app.

Incidentally one of my PurpleAir sensors was also not connecting to their server despite appearing to be running on the network.

Seems like I had Orbi issues impacting certain devices.

Regards

Jeffrey

Hello Jeffi,

I understand; thank you for the follow-up!

This will be useful for future reference if any other Shaker has this issue with an Orbi mesh system.
