Hi, when following the wifi guide at How to configure Wifi and USB wifi dongles from command-line I wanted to install the wifi dongle driver I wish to use but the link on the help page http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/install-wifi does not connect, seems down. Is there an alternate way to get the driver? It is for “ID 0bda:f179 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.”.
I hope, this is not OT. But my favorite solution is to connect the Shake via LAN with a bridge or a repeater and then connect the bridge or repeater with the router via WLAN. It works and you do not need to change anything on the Shake.
Kind regards
Hello daveedwards, and welcome to our community!
Thank you for this notification; it seems that, while the main website is still up and running (http://fars-robotics.net/), the portion that concerns the wifi-drivers
is not.
We will work to find a solution, and I’ll update you as soon as we get it.
Thank you for your patience in this.
I found another wifi dongle I had that works without any additional drivers needed.
ID 148f:7601 Ralink Technology, Corp. MT7601U Wireless Adapter
I got it from this link previously in case anyone else is looking for one:

Thanks @Stormchaser @jheiler fro the support.
Grea to hear that!
Also, thank you for the additional link, that could be useful to other Shakers in similar situations!
