not sure your specific configuration details, but try with these instructions and see if you don’t get a different result: (all these must be done as sudo)
delete the file /etc/network/interfaces - it is no longer needed for Pi raspbian
edit the file /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and set the network and password accordingly
edit the file /opt/settings/user/enable-wifi.conf and set to ON as the last line of the file
reboot
we have tested this here on multiple units this is working fine. when this continues to not work, can you send the log files so we can have a look?
Apologies for the delayed reply. Other priorities got in the way.
I tried those changes with no joy.
In the end, I replaced the model 4 with a model 3B+, built a new image. The same issue occurred!
I gave up and just installed the RS4D with the model 3B+ board, plugged in a Wireless bridge and away we went. AM.R411A is now online and contributing. Thanks for looking into it for me!
I spoke too quickly. R411A is not appearing online after 48 hours. It looks like it registered at the start but no data is appearing and it shows as “offline” in the Shakenet app. I can run Swarm and monitor the sensors fine, so data is being produced, just not uploaded. Status shows ‘connected’. I ssh into the unit, and it can ping and see the raspberry shake data server. I’ve attached the logs, and would be grateful if you could point out anything glaringly obvious. Thanks! RSH.R411A.2020-09-24T08 02 30.logs.tar (1.4 MB)
