Still have problems with the GPS antenna

Hi,

I made a seismic noise measurement yesterday: no problem, the recording and the dating of the data with the GPS antenna was correct.

At the same place, today, GPS time is not used, and the data are badly dated.
I tried with or without standalone mode activated.

I did the usual tests :
myshake@raspberryshake:/opt $ ls /dev/ttyUSB*
/dev/ttyUSB0

myshake@raspberryshake:/opt $ sudo cgps -s
cgps: caught signal 2

myshake@raspberryshake:/opt $ ntpq -p
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter

the GPS antenna is recognized.

I send the logs, ans some pictures
Hope this helps.
regards,
Olivier

hi olivier,

there was a recent fix to how GPS works in relation to how the HW clock is set at startup. please see the post here describing the details of the fix, as well as the updated programs you can download to install onto your shake.

this fix will go out as part of the next update as well.

cheers, let me know if you have any questions or run into any issues with this.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the fix. I will apply it as soon as possible.

regards,
Olivier
