I have another problem with stationview, it has been like it for a few weeks now:

Click on a station, and the URL changes to that station, but the the little info panel on the left is not updated. You have to do a browser refresh to get the correct view.

Hello Philip,

With what browser are you seeing this issue? I have tried to replicate it with

  • Chrome Version 114.0.5735.199 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit)

but I was unable to, as both the URL and the left-side info panel update accordingly when I click on a new station in either normal or incognito/private modes.

Hmmm… I have Chrome Version 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (arm64).
I just killed it, and re-launched it. It works now!

As a side note, all the stations are white again though  (and, of course, no signal trace in the info box).

Hello Philip,

Good to hear that the left-side popup now works! As of this morning (UTC) I can see all stations in color from the same multiple browsers. Can you see the same?

Yes … but if I leave it running for some time (like most of the day and overnight) I get the refresh problem again. Close the browser (not just the tab), restart browser and open the tab again, and it works.

Seem more like a browser problem …

(All the pretty colors are there!)

Thanks for the additional details, Philip. I will try to simulate this tonight and see what could be the cause so that we may be able to deploy a fix for it.

Unless it is a pure browser-side effect, as you say, and in that case, the only thing would be setting something to auto-refresh (or auto-close and reopen the page) to not do it by hand every time.

Left mine overnight - still works (of course).
I know Chrome does some silent updates … so checked the version number, no change.

Oh well … I will see if it does it again, it almost certainly will, based upon past experience, then see if the dev tools can pick up any problems.
