Dear All,
I would like to know if there are some solution or some perspective in the shake embedded software to rename the station or to provide two sources of data (one with the raspberryshake naming and one with a custom naming) ?
The automatically name used by the RPYSHAKE are not very friendly and do not fit our standard (french observatory network).
I have heard in the past that this option may be added to the RPYSHAKE software but no news since a while.
Thanks for your help.
Mickael.
Hello Mickael, and welcome back to our community!
As of today, if it can be of any help, it is possible to change the Shake name (or code) via SeisComP, outside the internal software of our instruments. It is described at the bottom of the page, here: Raspberry Shake Station Naming Convention — Instructions on Setting Up Your Raspberry Shake
There is still an update in the works that will allow modification of the Shake name from inside its software and this future release(s) will allow this customization (and maybe more). Current ETA is Q2 2023, so from April to June this year. I any case, we will put out prompt announcements as soon as this new feature becomes available.
Hi Stormchaser,
Thanks for you answer, I have proceed with the first solution. And I will move to the coming one with the future FW release.
Have good day
Mickael.
