how do I shutdown my RS4D and restart it ?
Need to move it

Hello Randy,

You have different options to shut down your RS:

  1. You can access the Shake configuration page rs.local/ by typing this address in your browser (or the Shake IP address, if you know it). Then click on the Action icon (hammer) high on the left, again on the Action tab, and select Shutdown.
  2. Via SSH (How to access your Raspberry Shake’s computer via ssh), you can execute sudo shutdown now to turn off the Shake.
  3. If none of the above are available, you can “pull the plug” of the power supply. This is, however, a “last resort” solution, and it’s not recommended as it can introduce possible file corruption in the microSD card.

Once your Shake is turned off, you can disconnect the power and Ethernet cables from it and move the instrument to your desired location.

Then, reconnect the Ethernet cable first and the power cable second, and the Shake will start up again on its own (unless you have a switch on the power cable that you need to press/activate).
