Sending miniseed archive data to a remote server

Hello everyone,

I’ve got some archived miniseed data (not real time) that I want to transfer to a remote server and I wondered if anyone had an idea of the best/most efficient way to go about this?

I’ve thought about a seedlink connection, but I’m not sure this is the most efficient or even correct way to proceed (please correct me if I’m wrong!).

If you think a relatively basic TCP file transfer would be adequate, please let me know.

Any ideas and help would be appreciated .

Thank you very much,
Alex

Hello Alex, and welcome back to the community!

Some years ago one of our Shakers (wmvanstone) modified a script to upload all data from his Shake(s) to DropBox, here: How to download the data Via internal web - #3 by Stormchaser

If you don’t need to read real-time data from that remote server, then yes, a standard file upload should be enough. Maybe the link above is something that can help you set up your system.

Let us know how it goes!
