Running & server connected, but "station is not online"

I changed the location of my RaspberryShake 3D yesterday; everything seems to have worked fine starting it back up–rs.local shows it running and connected to the server, listing the correct location, helicorder plots are available, etc.

However it does not appear on the StationView map, and the ShakeNet portal shows “Station not online.” Is there some additional step to do, is it a matter of delay, or is there some other issue?

Hi Austin,

Go ahead and attach your logs to this thread and we’ll take a look.

Thanks in advance.

hi,

this is a known issue we are aware of and affects only the display of your station in stationview and portal.

i will report back when this has been fixed, apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the prompt responses! It’s running smoothly otherwise, feeding data etc. and it sounds like this isn’t an instrument issue. But just for completeness in case it’s any help resolving why the display issue happens, here are the log files saved the day I recognized the problem.

A question to the tech support people … I have the same problem with my Raspberry Shake seemingly up and running correctly with helicorder traces being generated and all data showing ON and CONNECTED, but not appearing on StationView. If this is a known issue as you say, do you expect it will be fixed with a change to your server at your end, or with a software push out to users, and in any event, will it be fixed for all users at the same time or do we have to individually notify you there is a problem with our specific device ? My Raspberry Shake used to be shown on the map, but it dropped off a couple of months ago, I think when its software was upgraded to v0.15.

Hi @rdl—we are aware that several units are sending data but are not displayed on StationView. This is a server-side issue. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
