RShake run without internet for HVSR

Dear Raspberry Shake Community,

I am aiming to use the RS3D outdoor sensor for HVSR study, and I am trying to run Rshake in the field without internet. I can access the Rshake via SSH; however, it seems the IP address of Rshake is changing even though a static IP address is assigned, and I have to follow multiple steps to fix the issue every time.

Do you have any idea how I can fix the IP address of Rshake for the whole HVSR trip and access the sensor from a laptop via ssh?

Thank you very much for sharing your experience.

hello shiba,

setting up a Shake to use a fixed IP should work as you think it should: configure it a single time.

so, to figure out what’s going on with your unit, please let me know the following:

  1. has the unit upgraded to the latest version of the software, V21?
  2. how did you originally configure the IP address to be fixed?
  3. please send along all the log files contained in the /opt/log directory, easily downloadable from the FE configuration app home page

thanks in advance,
richard
