My RSB appears to have virtually moved to near the equator and near the international date line at around the new year. How do I get it back to its actual location so that it records quakes near that location rather than the middle of the Atlantic Ocean?
hello,
well, that’s strange… on the server, your unit is registered and located correctly and is online in StationView.
as well, i notice the system time in your screenshot is not quite right… though this is also confusing since the timestamps being sent to the server are, in fact, correct.
it would seem, then, that the problem is isolated to within the rs.local
web-page. while at the same time, neither your instrument’s registration with the server, nor the data being transmitted to it, is in any way negatively affected.
a reboot of the Shake may resolve this. if after trying this the displayed data persists in being wrong, please download the log files and pass them along.
thanks,
richard
hold the phone…
the station displayed in your screenshot is R20D6
, which is what i initially investigated. however, you mention that it is an SnB instrument you are referring to. digging a little deeper and i did find an SnB in your name, but very much not located in GB, rather in the US state of MI.
if you would happen to possess any information which could clear up my confusion, i would appreciate it.
thanks in advance,
richard
