Problems with new install

I have had a number of problems with the install of my replacement RPShake. The first problem was with an older RPi 2… It had a Ethernet problem and eventually it went deaf after about 2 days. So I tried another and it “kernel panic’ed” every 15 - 120 mins (regardless of the SD card I used and I built several). On to my third RPi 2. This is what the current local web page looks like:

It has no MAC address or name… but it must because I’m looking at the web site. This is the second new build for this RPi. An ifconfig shows:

eth0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.0.162 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255
ether b8:27:eb:46:7b:0a txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 4509 bytes 661535 (646.0 KiB)
RX errors 0 dropped 3 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 962 bytes 218311 (213.1 KiB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

and NTP is working well:

ntpq> peer

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

one of the log files says the system cannot detect the RS piggyback board. Is it properly plugged in? is the LED illuminated?

Thanks for that Ken… The blue light was on but pulling it apart and re-seating the board caused everything to spring to life.

Cheers, Peter
