New Community Software: rscu, the Raspberry Shake Charting Utility

Hi folks, happy Monday. The RS community continues to produce some incredible work, the latest of which is @dlfowler’s Raspberry Shake Charting Utility.

rscu (pronounced “rascue”) is a cross-platform, ObsPy-based seismic charting/graphing software that can create graphs by pulling data from a local Shake or an FDSN server. The thing that makes rscu different from most other ObsPy charting software is that it has a graphical user interface (GUI) that lets users create custom graphs quickly even if they don’t know Python. rscu is useful for students, teachers, and hobbyists.

rscu is available on our GitHub maker space. Documentation is in the works, but the software is relatively straightforward as is.

Thank you to @dlfowler, who learned Python to write this software!
