My 4D was offline for months and months. I initially got it set up fine in June of 2022. After some months I no longer saw live data. I tried several reboots without luck, but did not have time to troubleshoot much. Then just the other day I tried a simple removal of the ethernet cable and replacement. Now I see data. The unit is in a basement. Environmentally this room is somewhere between sealed like a house and like an outdoor location. I’m guessing I just had corrosion on the cable connector.

Sorry to hear about the connectivity issues you have experienced, but it’s great to read that your Shake is now back up and running!
Thanks. I forgot how interesting it is to see the data. I had a small quake 8 miles away from me. Did not feel it but I see it in the log.

Yes, I always find it fascinating to see what quakes (living in a non-active area) my Shake has detected, both relatively close and from the other side of the world.
I still remain surprised five years on.
We just had a 4.0 nearby and the waveform was sharp and active.
