IP67 Enclosure versus outdoor box

We are considering replacing our small seismic network that was installed for a research project with Raspberry Shakes. Is the IP67 intended to eliminate the need to install in a vault? If we want to add the GPS antenna for timing back up even if we connect the the shake to the internet, is there a way to do that with the IP67 box, or are we limited to connecting only to power and ethernet when using the IP67 box?

Good day @sherilynws.

The IP67 enclosure comes with a USB connection (for the GPS antenna); Ethernet; and power. So the default configuration we offer will work for you.

The IP67 is not meant to eliminate the need for a seismic vault. It could be installed outside, but the vault would greatly improve the lifetime of the Shake’s enclosure.
