I have recently noticed some unaccounted spikes, LARGE spikes recorded by my S/B. An example from last night:
The gap in the trace looks like it was the upgrade to version 2.0, so we can ignore that. The big spikes in the early morning are what I am looking at. Expanded they look like this:
My guess as to the source is that the S/B is sitting on a large concrete slab, the floor/foundation of a barn about 30’ x 60’. The power is supplied via a UPS which also filters any transients on the power,
it was very cold last night, with a clear sky this morning. Maybe the warming of the barn/concrete slab caused some stress released suddenly?
