Hi, so, I have a RS1D, and today, I saw that the Green ACT Light was blinking 3-5 times, but never returned, everything still works, Red LED, Blue LED on the RS shake, geophone, it recorded ground motion, adn the icon still appears, despite it not transmitting data, nor I can’t setup to rs.local.
(i’ve tried troubleshooting, and, according to Shake AI, it might be an issue related to the SD)
Hello Casethrey, and welcome to the community!
Yes, it could be something related to the microSD, but before approaching that, could you try the following test?
- turn off your Shake
- disconnect all cables from it
- restart your router (if possible) and wait for it to regain internet connection
- now reconnect LAN and power cable to the Shake in this order, then connect the LAN cable to the router to a different port
- turn on the Shake again
Is the green LED behavior the same, and you cannot still access rs.local/?
Thank you.
Hey StormChaser, I’ve tried to follow the steps, yet the same behaviour occurs.
All right, thanks for testing.
Could you confirm that the LAN cable is still working by connecting it to a PC/laptop and checking if it can access the internet?
If it does, then can you try all ports on the router for the same?
If it doesn’t, instead, then you will have to try a different LAN cable. Let me know!
I think the LAN cable works as the Red LED does appear and displays it’s in the internet
Then yes, it’s worth following what the AI assistant said and re-burn the microSD card.
You can find the files you need and instructions on how to do so here.
Once done, you’ll have basically reset the Shake to factory conditions, so unless the LAN port on the Pi board has suddenly stopped working, everythinig should be fine.
