Hello Mile_Christ, and welcome to the community!
Thank you for the logs, and, as you probably have imagined, the Shake cannot find a connection to our servers, shown in these lines:
2020 216 03:03:11: Unable to resolve hostname 'raspberryshake.net', most likely no DNS server available
2020 216 03:04:11: Unable to resolve hostname 'raspberryshake.net', most likely no DNS server available
2020 216 03:05:11: Unable to resolve hostname 'raspberryshake.net', most likely no DNS server available
One thing you can try is to configure your Raspberry Shake WiFi (as a test, as we don’t recommend using the onboard Pi WiFi) to see if, bypassing the router, you can manage to connect. You will find information about this here: How to configure Wifi and USB wifi dongles from command-line
If that doesn’t work, it is possible that, as the internet you are trying to use is (as I understand) provided by your university, the instrument has to be allowed in the network firewalls (we know that office/school networks have stricter rules in place).
I think your professor or network IT manager should be able to help in opening all the necessary ports (55555
and 55556
) so that the Shake can “see” and transmit data to us.
If your IT manager requires it, this is the complete list of ports that need to be open: Firewall issues?
Also, on some occasions it has been necessary to add the Shake IP and MAC address to the firewall exceptions, too.
Hope one of the above can help! In any case, we remain available.
