Downloading Issue (EHZ channel missing) from Raspberry Shake Dataview and fdsn web service

Recently, we have been conducting a microzonation project for Yangon City using the stations RDEF5, RCAF2, and R3AA4 in Myanmar.

We noticed that after 25 January 2026, we are unable to obtain the EHZ (vertical channel) when downloading the last 24 hours of data in MiniSEED format from DataView. We also attempted to download the data from the FDSN server using ObsPy, but encountered the same issue: only the horizontal components are available, and the vertical component (EHZ) cannot be downloaded.

However, we can see that the EHZ channel appears to be running in the last 24-hour view in DataView . Since we are applying the HVSR technique, the vertical component is essential for our analysis.

What would be the best way to download the full three-component data (EHZ, EHN, EHE) in MiniSEED format for HVSR study ?

For additional context, we monitor each site for approximately 36 hours , and all three Raspberry Shake stations are temporarily deployed , moving around Yangon with updated coordinates at each location. This is done to obtain accurate site locations and to assess background noise using PPSD . Could this deployment approach be related to the issue of not receiving the EHZ vertical component in our downloads?

Hello, and welcome to our community!

Thank you very much for the notification. The server team has reported that they found and fixed the issue, with the data that was not available now backfilling. It should be downloadable again within the next 24-48 hours. No data was lost.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and please ask to try retrieving the data again after this time has passed.
