We have developed an open data platform for WiFi sensors and other sensors i.e. Particulates. We are running them across nearly 40 town centres around north west and mid Wales in the UK.
We deployed a number of Shakes to monitor traffic during the national Eisteddfod (an event which attracts over 200000 visitors).
We carry out fourier transforms (in our data pipeline - but we can do this on the Shake as well for edge processing) in order to visualise traffic (Car, Van, Truck/Lorry) we now want to be able to process the Shake’s data for footfall (in the vicinity of the device) we are working with a local university and another UK university on this - specifically with regard to how we can use this data source to improve data quality from WiFi device counting.
We have tried to contact the people in Brussels who originally highlighted that they were able to visualise the micro-seismic elements of people walking in the vicinity of the device, but nobody has got back to us.
Can someone please point us toward any person or resource that can provide more insight into what needs to be implemented and deployed in order for us to share this additional output with our colleagues.
