My Raspberry Shake 3d (AM.RC088) has been reported as being offline (for the past 3 days) but is up and running and has been up and running fine for many months now.
I noticed that only 2 Raspberry Shakes of Type RS3D are currently online in all of California, but all the Types RS1D and RS4D devices are reporting they are online. Is that correct? Is this just a ShakeNet issue reading most of the Raspberry Shake Type RS3D devices (including mine) incorrectly for the past 3 days?
would you be so kind as to send along your log files? i see that your unit’s connection timed out 3-oct but didn’t attempt to reconnect.
normally, when there is a connection timeout, recognized by the server, the connection is dropped, whereupon the shake will automatically attempt to reconnect. in this case, this re-connection attempt did not happen, it seems, so i would like to check your log files to see why this could be the case.
and, did you restart the unit to see if that might solve the problem? (for the record: i absolutely hate this suggestion in the context of technical support… but sometimes it actually works, even when the computer’s not driven by microsoft software.)
Reboot worked! (My bad. I had inadvertently rebooted my Raspberry Shake 4d device earlier today to try to fix the problem, instead of rebooting my 3d) After I rebooted my 3d device, I see that RC088 is back online!
Attached are the log files in case you want to see what initially brought down RC088 on 03-Oct-2024.
