AM.R28F8 Shake down in Anchorage

After a power outage a few years ago I was unable to reconnect my Raspberry Shake 4D named, AM.R28F8. I tried finding it on rs.local/ but nothing. Tried Fling, not on my network. Checked the LED sequence and at start up the lights don’t turn on as the manual describes.

The lights on R28F8 appears as follow: red and blue lights come on and stay on solid; the green light near the red flashes twice then pauses, then flashes once more before turning off and staying off. No lights appear near the ethernet port.

I’m sorry, I’m not sure I can download the logs since I can’t get on rs.local. I’d love to get my Shake back online. Thanks for any help,

If you have a spare microsd card (hold on to your original card for logs), you can very quickly reimage the Rshake software, put that in your Shake, and see if it comes online. If it does, it was card corruption. You will have to do initial setup again in the RS.local menus, but your station name will remain unchanged.

Hope this helps and it is not a hardware problem.

Hello FullRip9, and welcome to our community!

From what you describe, particularly the LED and the event that happened before the issue, it sounds like the microSD card got corrupted (or damaged).

What K2PI suggested is the right course of action. And, if you have any other issues, let us know!
