There was a 7.0 quake in Ferndale CA (near Eureka). See https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PfmZip-xClM. I do not see evidence of this on my Station View 240 miles to the south. Am I doing something wrong?

It seems that the video was pure misinformation, as there has not been an M7.0 earthquake in Northern California yesterday.
If that were the case, your Shake would have recorded it without any issues, given your relative proximity.
USGS reports it.
