Use calibrations?

For some time now I have been missing the units display for my RB and RS. It matters not if I have the “use calibrations” box checked - I always get counts (although SWARM displays units, the values are actually counts). It seems like the calibration factor is taken to be unity. It has been this way for a while now. Probably prior to the update to v16/3.0.

‘Download instrument response’ still seems to show the same calibration factors (although I cannot comment on the syntax of that file).

Here are the log files:

RSH.R176D.2020-02-05T02_54_44.logs.tar (3.4 MB) RSH.R91ED.2020-02-05T02_53_15.logs.tar (3.2 MB)

Hi Ken,

Are you connecting directly to the units or are you downloading data from the server? If you are connecting directly, that information does not get conveyed to SWARM.

I think there might be a way to specify calibrations for specific stations manually, although it is not mentioned in the documentation and I have not investigated further than that.

Ian

yes - connecting directly. Once connected directly, if I open a window using the community server as a source, I also get no units on the data from the community server.

If you can figure out how to get calibration data from my direct connection, I would be happy to test it for you
