A radio technician from the Michigan Stadium asked if there is any sort of interference transmission or reception on the 900 megahertz band by a RS1D shake? I think only wifi band radio, which is off anyhow, but am I missing something?.
We don’t expect interference on the 900 MHz band. WiFi (if you use it) is probably either 2.4 or 5 GHz and Bluetooth is around 2.4 GHz as well. If there is a transmitter very close to the instrument it could show up in the geophone signal but most shouldn’t be close or powerful enough to affect anything in a significant way. If you start noticing significant noise in the data then you may need to reevaluate.
