Problem getting data off disk. Help with dir structure

Today I unplugged my RS1D from power to move the unit. It had been recording unconnected from the web for four days. When I unplugged it, the power adapter ripped apart. Needing to get to the data, I removed the disk and mounted it on my computer. The disk is named boot, but when I go into it, I don’t see an opt/archive folder. Here is the contents of the disk. Can anybody advice me?

Hello jpulli,

I’m sorry to hear about the power adapter ‘ripping apart’ like that.

Regarding the files, I am assuming that you are using Windows to directly access the microSD. You are thus seeing only the /boot partition which is FAT32, recognizable by the OS.

The main partition on the microSD card with the Shake OS and recorded data is instead in EXT4 filesystem format.

I recommend you install some EXT4 Windows drivers to be able to see it and then download the data from your Shake manually.

I had mounted it on a Mac, which is Linux, so I am surprised that it only saw the boot partition. But I will mount it on an actual Linux machine and see what happens.

I was able to download some trail software from Paragon, it saw the data folders, and I was able to copy them. Power plug repaired, microsd back in the unit, and back online. RAC22 SHZ

That’s great to hear jpulli!

Glad that you were able to download and keep the data.
