Not able to access FSDN shakedata

I have been trying to run my usual obspy python scripts to obtain day plots etc and they either fail (requesting to much data) or can’t find the raspberry shake station e.g. S63B4.
The stations are online and I can plot the data in swarm.

From the exceptions I get when trying something similar, it seems that queries are currently restricted to results with max 180k samples, or 30 minutes for a 100Hz Shake :frowning:

Is this restriction temporary or is it supposed to be that way from now on?

BTW I would be happy to pay a reasonable fee for the kind of access I had before. I own two Shakes, and one is hosted at a different location where I don’t have network access to the Shake.

For me, this situation only began about 2 days ago.
In my case, even if I only try to plot a couple of minutes of data, the scripts fail with unable to find EHZ etc on the server.
This is the true for mine and other shakes I have tried.
All I can plot is data from stations on the IRIS network, which I use to compare against locally.

Hello mjohnp and hbeggenstein,

We have had an issue with the FDSN service that has now been solved.

The service is again active and accepting data requests. Thank you for both notifications and your patience while we fixed the problem.

That is great news.
Many thanks for sorting the problem out.

Regards,
