I’m now setup and services, internet and server connection, all looks good except the time is -1 hour (15:30 on Pi, 16:30 actual time).
Is there a way I can set my own NTP or timezone?

This is great news! Good work on getting everything up and running.
All times on all Shakes all over the world are always in UTC, so if you live in a country where Summer time is currently active, that’ll explain the -1 hour offset you’re seeing.
For the same reason above, it’s not possible to set a specific time zone on the Shake, as all data is timestamped in UTC (to be consistent with international seismic conventions).
However, you can visit your Shake on DataView (https://dataview.raspberryshake.org/), where you’ll see your current time zone on the right (if enabled in your browser).

I’m now after over a week really pleased at how well it works, I had concerns that it would pick up on a cars going into the garage, or if I walked around the inside or outside of the garage, but the 4 steel 5 inch screws deep into the hard concrete floor, raised slightly by 4 1cm nuts to keep the case neatly off the floor. I used the front, clear plastic part of a CD case for the base of the case and simply glued the Pi case to it. It doesn’t look the best, but it’s not intended to be!
It’s underneath some Ikea garage shelving so that it’s not likely to be stepped on. We’re not a Seismically active area, much like most of the UK, but there have been some sudden quakes felt across the region that I’ve always been interested in.

Really happy to read this! And yes, if the overall setup works for the location where you installed it, then that’s the only important thing.
You’ll be able to easily detect large events from across the globe, as well as small local ones, such as those most common in the UK; there’ll be no issues with that.
