hi! i finally got around to setting up my raspberry shake. however, it seems like the ethernet connection from the outside of the case doesn’t work. i unscrewed the top cover, and plugged a new ethernet cable directly from the board into my port on my switch, and that worked. i don’t know if there is a problem with the internal cable (inside the case running to the waterproof connector), or whether its the external cable. but, something along that chain is not working properly.
how can we rectify this? as it is right now, i can’t close the case on the shake because of this stop gap measure. any suggestions?
Thank you for the troubleshooting that you have already done on your Shake. From your description, it appears that the internet cable of your outdoor model has some problems, especially if, after connecting directly to the Shake with another cable, everything works fine.
I would say that the fastest way to solve this would be for us to send you a replacement cable that you can then install in place of the current faulty one, and that would allow you to revert the Shake to its original setup.
If this sounds ok with you, please send me a private message writing the email you have used for your order, and confirm what Shake model you are using. I will take care, then, to forward it to our Operations Manager, that will proceed to organize a new shipment as soon as possible.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for your patience while we address the situation.
