Last year, I borrowed two Raspberry Shake instruments (RFB5C and RC878) from colleagues at Bauhaus University in Germany. I first connected them to the internet while I was in Cyprus, and later used them for the instrumentation of a building in Turkey.
However, when I check the instruments via the following link:
https://dataview.raspberryshake.org/#/
they are still shown as being located in Cyprus. In addition, the current-day data is publicly accessible.
I would like to update the sensor coordinates and modify the data settings, but this requires a password that was not assigned to me.
Could you please advise me on how to proceed or recommend a technical support?

Hello McGenes, and welcome to our community!
Let’s address your queries one by one:
-
To modify the location of the Shakes, all that is required is going to Settings - General - Configure your location. You can update the latitude and longitude there using either the map or by inserting the coordinates manually. Then, you click on Save at the bottom and the instrument positions should update on the map within 24 hours.
-
If you want to make the Shake data private you can go to Settings - Data Sharing - Data Sharing Settings, and then turn the Forward Data slider to OFF. Click again on Save to confirm.
As a reminder, if you do so, the only way to retrieve data from the instruments will be via the Raspberry Shakes themselves, as they’ll not be transmitting data to our servers anymore. You can find various methods to do so here.
