Attach rain sensor to Raspberry shake?

I am using a Raspberry Shake 3D to monitor rockfall activity in the Austrian Alps. I would love to complement the Raspberry measurements with a simple rain sensor so I can correlate rockfall activity with rainfall. I don’t need the volume of rain water, a simple yes/no indication whether it rains or not would be totally sufficient. The monitoring is restricted to the summer season when snowfall does not occur.

Does anyone know a simple rain senor that can be connected to the raspberry shake?
