I would like to know if the data and images in the Data view can only be viewed but not downloaded. Is this the case? If not can you tell me how to download the data?

There are various ways to download data. Starting from DataView, as you have mentioned it, once you have defined the waveform portion you want to export, simply click on this button
and a popup will open with all the details. Clicking again on the little camera icon high on the right will allow you to download the entire clipboard.
As for the raw data from the Shakes connected to our network, you can download it via our FDSNWS Web Service, here: Raspberry Shake FDSNWS Implementation
Everything, since the first Shakes came online in 2016, is stored on our servers, so there is a lot to explore.
